How to stay positive in Corona Pandemic

Corona Pandemic situation is very horrible. Lot of people loosing their jobs, lot of people having huge losses in business. Lot of negative news floating around us. It's been very difficult to stay positive in current situation.

Please remember we don't have control over current situation. So we have two options 1) Having Pressure / Stress /Tension in our mind for things which we can't control. This will end up situation even worst. It will decrease your creativity and productivity 2) Calm down and try to utilize the time to the fullest. Because anyway we don't have control over current situation. 

Here are some tips to stay positive:

Daily Exercise and Yoga: Exercise and yoga helps in improving mood and it will reduce feeling of depression, anxiety and stress. One of the best Exercise is SuryaNamaskara.

Stay away from Daily Count Case Tracker: Just like scorecard of any game every time we keeps on watching corona case / death counts.  Please don't watch those counts. It will unnecessarily creates fear in your mind.

Stay away from news Channels: News channels only shows corona related news .They show news in such a way that you feel that whole world is going to get the corona. Constantly watching news will make you depressed and your fear Negativity will increase. Although you can watch it once in a day for few minutes but not constantly. 

Read Books:

Books are like moral booster for everyone in bad times. If you have free time you can read some amazing motivational books.

Express your Thoughts / Clean up your mind:

Most of the reason behind mental health issue is person doesn't express their Ideas, thoughts or anger against some situation or some people. 

And this Ideas, thoughts are started becoming poisonous in mind and it leads to depression / Anxiety.

there are multiple ways you can express your thoughts: 

1) Write your thoughts in a diary. 

2) Call to your family / friend / loved one and tell them whatever you want. You will feel too much relaxed after expressing your thoughts. 

3) Write a blog.

Please trust me 90% of metal health issue will be solved as soon as you start expressing whatever is there in your mind.

Keep your mind Strong:  

If you are taking proper precautions than don't be too much afraid about corona. I have experienced that many people who are too much afraid of the corona and have weak mind will have much higher probability to be infected.

Unfortunately if you are affected with corona than also you have to keep your mind very strong. Please remember affected with corona is not the end of life. If you have strong mind, trust me  you can defeat any disease in the world, no matter how deadly it is.  There are thousands of similar examples.

Time will pass away:

Please remember any situation doesn't last forever. It's same as Wind storm, It will fed away as time passes away. whatever in our control is to stay calm, stay strong and to wait for the storm to pass away.

So Let's be Strong, positive and creative in this Corona Pandemic.

Lockdown - Time to Update your skills

The current situation  is really bad, lot of people lost their job,  People who are having businesses are also in a great loss. We can utilize this time to update our skills. Let's first see a small story.

Once upon a time there was one company in business of selling woods. So in that company two wood cutter were working named as Bill and Jeff. To get the more woods cut Company's boss have arranged one competition between Bill and Jeff. The rules were simple—whoever produce the most wood in a day wins.

So the next day morning both of them took the positions and started cutting trees at the great speed. After Half an hour Jeff suddenly stopped. When Bill realized that there was no chopping sound from opponent's side, he thought "Ah ha! he must be tired already". And he continued to cut down his trees with double speed.


The Quarter of hour passed and Bill heard his opponent chopping again. So both of them carried on synchronously. Bill was starting feeling weary when the chopping from Jeff stopped once again. Feeling motivated and smelling victory close by, Bill continued on, with a smile on the face.


This went whole day, Every hour Jeff would stop chopping for fifteen minutes while Bill kept going restlessly. So when  the competition ended, Bill was absolutely confident that he would take the triumph.

But to Bill’s astonishment, Jeff had actually cut down more wood. How did this even happen? “How could you have chopped down more trees than me? I heard you stop working every hour for fifteen minutes!”, exclaimed Bill. 

Jeff replied, “Well, it’s really simple. Every time I stopped work, while you were still chopping down trees, I was sharpening my axe.”

So moral of the story is we are working restlessly like Bill throughout our life. without a break. we are so much busy in our daily schedule that we just forgot to update our skills and keep on working with old skill sets. This will reduce your productivity at greater level. so Lockdown or Break is time to sharpen our axes.

Tips for People who lost their jobs:

In this crucial time it's very difficult to stay focused and update your skill set Because I can not imagine the pressure you guys are having. When you are stressed you will not able to concentrate. But still we need to make our mind strong and update the skills to get the good opportunity.

Tips for People who are having loss in Business:
You can find out different ways to be creative and have innovation in business. For example, If you are having restaurant you can try making a unique dish which is not exist in the market. For other businesses you can make a unique product or think of any idea using which we can increase productivity, we can reduce the cost of operations.This can be a life changer if you are having good luck. 

Please remember we don't have control over current situation. So we have two options 1) Having Pressure / Stress /Tension in our mind for things which we can't control. Because anyway we don't have control over current situation.

Although we have learned lot of things from the Lockdown but One major lesson we learned is we must have at-least 6 month to 1 year savings with us to survive in difficult time. There is one nice quote "Save the money, Money will save you one day".

Please remember that bad time doesn't last for long. You just need to keep your mind strong in this bad situation. And Let's hope that we come out of this situation very soon.

Honesty is Best policy

  • I want to dedicate this blog to my dad. Whatever I am expressing in this blog, I have Learned that from my dad.
  • I am going to showcase my father's life in few words. Throughout his career he was on a path of honesty. He faced many challenges in life, there are multiple attacks on him by corporate world to deviate his path from honesty but he fought every battle like a warrior and stick to his path like a rock. And he retired as a proud honest employee. Trust me, I think that No one in the world is having more will power than him. There are lot more things to learn from him, blog will become shorter and it will be difficult to explain in words.I am proud that I am also in a same path of honesty.
  • Stick to path of honesty is the most difficult thing. If you deviate from this path you will end up your life in corruption, Corporate politics or cheating others or criminal Activities.
  • We will first understand root cause of corruption, Corporate politics or cheating.
    • First and most important reason for this will be in back of the mind these people are feeling insecure or having anxiety or Fear about future. 
    • Carving of earning more money / Grabbing higher position.
    • Surroundings / environment of the people.
    • Lack of education
    • Shortcut to earn more money.
    • Shortcut to grab certain position. (Using word Grab here because position must be earned.)
    • Due to Current Situation of person he might need to do wrong things again this is also debatable topic.
  • Appraisal Process by GOD based on your Karma(Your doings)
    •  All doings(karma) of any person is recorded by GOD and based on our doings(Karma) GOD will give us results either in the same birth or in the next birth. So if you are in trouble today than it can be because of your bad karmas in the past.
    • If people are doing Wrong things like corruption / Corporate politics or cheating others and if they feel that it's not known to anyone other than them than they are wrong. GOD is recording all person's activities and these activities are called your karmas. so based on person's wrong activities the person will be in trouble and GOD will punish them one day. And People who are doing good things will never have to worry at all, because these people have nothing to hide, they have feeling of proud and not guilt.
  • How India can become Super power?
    • India is having population of 130 million and if each and every person in india do his work honestly than no one will stop india to become a super power.
  • There is very good message given by Shri Krishna in Geeta "कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते माफलेषु कदाचन" . This means that just do your work / Karmas don't worry about the results. In hindi it means "कर्म  करो   फल की आशा मत रखो ".
  • So do your karma everything please leave it to GOD.

How to Build Depression Free society

Today we are going to discuss about how to make our society Depression free? We must find ways to eliminate depression from our society.  depression also can be as deadly as Corona virus. Our society is only responsible for growing cases of depression and if we all work together we can kill disease of depression from everyone. This task is extremely difficult but it's not impossible. To make this possible everyone need to contribute. Responsibility of every age group will be different for this tasks. 
So lets  start our journey!!

Responsibility of Parents:

  • Most Important Don't compare your kids with other kids. Please have confidence in your child. If you doesn't show confidence in them than they will start becoming introvert and depression start building up there itself. Let them be creative, let them do whatever they want. Please don't limit their growth
  • Marks in schools / collages are not the measurement of Intelligence, they are just numbers.
  •  Brief your children about Indian culture, it will build up fighting spirit in them. 
      1. If we are going to make tall and strong building we need to fully focus on constructing the base, the more base is strong the more strong building will be Similarly we need to construct a strong base of thoughts to our children to make them really strong!!!
      2. We need to be more focused in their childhood, we need to tell Short stories of Ramayan, Mahabharat, Geeta, warriors, freedom fighter based on their level of understanding.
      3. This will help them to understand our Indian culture. And trust me this will help them in fight of life in future.
  • Let them play physical games, Let them taste failure.
      1. The main reason for depression is person can not digest failure, Because they are not aware about what is failure. Sports have win & loss both. If child loose in a game they can taste the failure. This is also very important training of life.
  •     Be your child's best friend
  1. You must have good bonding with your child and they should understand you their best friend. so that they can share everything with you.
  •   Chanting Shlokas
      1. will help child in increasing concentration and keeping the mind calm. you will not see the immediately but in future it will certainly help.
  • Stay connected with your child always no matter how big person your child has become.

Responsibility of Parents to be: 
  • Making the child strong starts when the child is in mother's womb... There are thousands of examples in Indian history like prahlad, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, abhimanyu. 
  • You can teach all the life lessons and most difficult arts of life when child is in mother's womb. you can give good "sanskara" to them. 
  • If we provide knowledge of our culture to them like ramayan, Mahabharat, Geeta than they will become very strong person. Again Chanting of Sholkas will be most effective here also.
Responsibility of Corporate Leaders:
  • If you are boss or Leader or at higher position you must respect all your employees. You must not insult your subordinate in front of other colleague or privately also, you might doesn't have idea what your subordinate is going through in his life. This will disturb his mental strength badly.
Responsibility of Educational Institutes:
  •     Don't kill creativity of child by only bookish provide knowledge.

Solutions to Depression without medicine:
  • Our granths like Ramayan, Geeta are for every age group, if you are in trouble or if you have some questions read Geeta, you will definitely find your answer there and you will definitely feel motivated.... 
  • In Mahabharat Arjun was little bit depressed in war with kauravs but Shree Krishna told them Geeta and Arjun became very motivated and he finished the war with a victory. 
God is always with you. You are not alone
  • The most basic reason for depression is that person feels that he is alone in the world. by reading all granthas we will come to know that you are not alone in the world, GOD is with you all the time. This will kill the depression on the spot. 
Call your family / friends once a week and keeps depression away.

Impact of Smart Phones And Need of Digital Fasting!!


Impact of smart phones in society
  • Digital gadgets like Smart Phones has become our part of daily life. Just think of any day when you gone outside without caring your phone... It's impossible to find out right?
  • Smart phones are necessity now a days but please remember that, you will not die if you can not use mobile for some hours or even for some days!!! But you may die if you don't eat or have water for some days..
  • We are so much addicted to Mobile that we cannot live without it for few hours, and in extreme addiction for few minutes.
  • In current time, We have become slaves of mobile, we think that it's been impossible to survive without mobile but ask your parents or grand parents how do they live their lives, obvious they haven't used digital gadgets much or used it very less... Obviously we need to follow technology as per the generation but if they can  survive without mobile for years, we also survive at least for some hours!!
Impact of smart phones in kids  or teenagers or college students
  • Now a days teenagers / college students are too much addicted with smart phones due to online gaming as well as social media. Those games actually creates huge bad impact on their minds.  
  • Once in a month you hear a news of shooting in college, school or bar in western Countries like US, France, Germany, in most of the cases those online games have encouraged the shooter to do this violence activity
Parents!! Please stop doing this!!

  • When your kid don't eat, you gave phone to your kids.  You only making habit to your kids to use smart phones. 
  • Our kids must  understand Indian tradition  or culture so We must tell stories related to our culture. Instead of this we are showing them cartoons. 
  • If your children is irritating you or he/she is in bad mood you give mobile to him or her. All children needs is your attention and love.
  • Later on these habits can become addiction and you will not be aware about it. And you are playing with your future's life. And it worst case you need to take him to "rehabilitation center" to remove his addict from smart phones.
What is Digital Fasting? 

Digital Fasting is stay away from digital gadgets at least for few hours.

What is Need of Digital Fasting? 
  • Smart Phone just add unnecessary garbage or negative thoughts or fear in our mind through social media. To clear those garbage we should have digital fasting once in a week.
  • Peoples who use social Media too much (like >6 ,7 hours) they will create a new virtual world in your mind, which is far different than reality. Those people needs to go to addiction rehabilitation center to get rid of smartphone addiction. Trust me these addiction is same as addiction of alcohol or cigarette nicotine addiction  
  • Fasting is very good for our body, it will clean our body similarly for mind also digital fasting is very important to stay focused.
Digital Fasting for Parents!!! Please try this at least once and see the results.
  • Parents your Digital Fasting will have positive impact on your kids also, so your Digital Fasting will be little bit different one.
  • Our kids always follows what parents are doing, parents are their idols so they will blindly follow what they are doing. Parents should make a habit of reading books and using mobile less, I give you guarantee that your kid will follow you after a week or after certain days. 
  • Parents you have to ask your kids to follow digital Fasting once a week or set their screen timings so that it doesn't affect their studies or they can't be addicted.
Digital Fasting for Parents to be!!!
  • There are thousand of evidence that child learns everything when they are in mother's womb. So at this time Mothers must stay away from phones and read Indian mythology of Krishna, Ram, Sivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap etc. to give good "Sanskar" to their children. I will be writing a separate Blog on this very soon. It's a huge topic.

It's ok not to update social media status!!!

One task for you'!! Re-memorize your last trips out of the country or  any other tourist place and try to find out the place where you haven't capture the selfie and haven't done facebook check-in or haven't updated your status? Its very difficult to find out right? This has become part of our daily life or routine.
  • We feel that our trips are incomplete without social media check-ins, updates, selfies but that's not the case always.  
  • why Its ok not to update your status? When we go out for a trip or we are having any life event,  instead of enjoying the trip, instead of spending good time with family, instead of feeling the nature and instead of living the moment we are busy clicking selfies and waste time in updating status, check-ins.
  • I feel that We are in race of updating the fb / insta /twitter status and everyone thinks that i want to be winner of the race!! but unfortunately you will be a looser.
  • why you might be looser in the race of updating status? while spending time with your phone on social media you have lost the present and pleasant  moments that we should spend with family or your loved ones. so you are a looser here.
  • You may risk your life if you are at dangerous place. According to the research there are thousands of people die because of selfies at dangerous places. Major reason for their death was drowning, being hit by a train or car, or falling from a great height. Selfies become "killfies" for them. So you might loose your life too while taking a selfie.
Social Media statuses are one way to show-off
  • Now it has become trend that people's happiness, success is measured by their social media updates. People update their status just to show their financial status, social status.
  • Please remember those statuses are just on virtual platform, Reality can be different than what is being shared with you.
Social Media Statuses for expressing sadness:
Lot of people shares their news of relative's demises on social media  which is ok but you will see thousand of "like" on those statuses. I can't understand what to "like" in this sad news. This is really tragic and depressing.

Have some privacy in your life..
  • Please have some privacy in your life... Expressing your feelings is good thing when you are too happy but we should not show it every time..
Social Media statuses are Major Reason for depression 
  • Social media statuses creates depression / inferiority complex among people just because they cant afford those trips or events.
  • Social media statuses encourages you to earn more money when you are not capable of what your friend has just shared, and it will create pressure / stress in your mind to earn more money. as stress level increases your mental health, physical health and it can affect your relationship and this leads to depression.
  • According to the research thousand of people started feeling depressed / jealous  when they see their friend's statuses. Those people start feeling insecure, start fighting with their spouse regarding these and expecting more from them.
Make a Habit to minimize use of mobile when you are on trip:
  • So next time when you go out for a trip with your loved once, switch off your phone and try to live the moment, you will have inner piece when you have unforgettable and happy moments... 
  • Just live that moment because don't know how long the life is... If you can't resist yourself updating your status tell yourself  "its ok not to update status every-time"

Conclusion:
  • I am not saying that you shouldn't click photos/selfies or update statuses when you are on a trip. but those things must be secondary. First thing should be live the moment, First Try to feel the beauty of nature. Try to capture those beautiful moments in your eyes try to enjoy it! Once you are done with all these things and If you have some time left than you can capture your trip moments to your camera.
